A mission to secure
America's rare earth supply chain

Minerals of America, Inc. is a Delaware C-Corporation building commercial-scale rare earth oxide separation capacity outside of Chinese control. Our facility in Malaysia will produce separated rare earth oxides — the critical materials that power permanent magnets in electric vehicles, wind turbines, precision-guided munitions, and advanced electronics.

The company was founded on a simple observation: the United States cannot sustain its defense industrial base, its energy transition, or its advanced manufacturing sector without a secure, Western-aligned supply of separated rare earth oxides. Today, that supply effectively does not exist at scale outside China.

We are building it.

Solvent extraction —
the highest-value step

Our facility performs chemical separation of mixed rare earth carbonate feedstock into individual high-purity oxide products. This is solvent extraction — the cleanest, highest-value step in the rare earth production chain.

Feedstock enters as mixed rare earth carbonate derived from ion-adsorption clay deposits — a naturally low-impurity source that requires no thermal cracking or acid leaching prior to separation.

Multi-stage counter-current solvent extraction circuits, using industry-standard organic extractants, separate the mixed feed into individual oxide products through selective chemical partitioning. Followed by precipitation and high-temperature calcination, the process produces finished oxides meeting commercial purity specifications (≥99.5%).

All major process equipment is sourced exclusively from allied, non-Chinese manufacturers — ensuring supply chain integrity and eligibility for US and allied government procurement programs.

01
Solvent Extraction

Mixed rare earth carbonate feedstock enters multi-stage counter-current SX circuits. Individual elements are separated with high precision using D2EHPA/PC88A extractants in kerosene diluent. Solvents are recovered and recycled in a closed-loop system.

02
Precipitation

Purified rare earth solutions from the SX circuit are precipitated to form solid intermediates, preparing the material for final thermal processing and purity refinement.

03
Calcination

Precipitated intermediates undergo high-temperature calcination to produce final separated rare earth oxide products at commercial purity specifications for industrial delivery.

Neodymium-Praseodymium Oxide

NdPr Oxide

The essential feedstock for NdFeB permanent magnets found in every electric vehicle motor, wind turbine generator, precision-guided defense system, and billions of consumer electronics.

Cerium Oxide

CeO2

Used in catalytic converters, glass polishing compounds, UV-absorbing coatings, and as a diesel fuel additive. One of the highest-volume rare earth oxide products globally.

Lanthanum Oxide

La2O3

Critical for fluid catalytic cracking in petroleum refining, specialty glass formulations, battery electrodes, and advanced ceramics applications.

Responsible
by design

Environmental stewardship is engineered into every stage of our process. Our facility is designed around closed-loop principles where process outputs are either saleable products or managed residues.

Closed-Loop Water

Process water treated and recirculated, targeting zero liquid discharge under normal operations.

Solvent Recovery

Organic extractants recovered, purified, and reused — eliminating discharge to the environment.

Clean Separation

No mineral beneficiation, thermal cracking, or acid leaching. Our facility receives pre-processed feedstock and performs chemical separation only.
